The National Weather Service in Gray Maine has extended the
* Flood Warning for...
An Ice Jam in...
Central Coos County in northern New Hampshire...
* Until 300 PM EST Thursday
* At 538 AM EST, the Connecticut River at North Stratford remains
above flood stage, due to an ice jam. Minor flooding is expected
in and around the warning area.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lancaster, Stratford, Columbia, Stark and Northumberland.

Information:
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Ice jams can be unpredictable and conditions can change quickly,
with little warning. Avoid flooded areas, especially at night, and
listen to information from local officials.
Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

.An ice jam continues to cause minor flooding along the Connecticut River. Remember ice jams are unpredictable and can form and shift
with little if any warning. People in flood prone areas should remain alert for rapidly rising water.

* From this afternoon until Saturday evening.
* At 2 PM the stage was 13.3 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* The river is likely to remain just above flood stage through tonight. However runoff from yesterdays rain and warm weather will slow due to the return of more seasonable airmass. The river should begin a slow recession late tonight.

Do not drive through flooded areas, it is impossible to know if the
road is safe for travel. Turn around, dont drown!
